Gustave Roussy, uno de los centros de referencia en oncología a nivel europeo, necesitaba el video oficial del laureado de su premio 2026: el Prof. Luis Diaz Jr., jefe de Oncología de Tumores Sólidos en Memorial Sloan Kettering, reconocido por el hallazgo que abrió la puerta a tratar el cáncer según la biología del tumor y no según el órgano afectado. La pieza institucional con la que el premio —entregado cada Día Mundial contra el Cáncer— se presenta ante la comunidad científica internacional.Gustave Roussy, one of Europe's leading oncology centers, needed the official video of its 2026 prize laureate: Prof. Luis Diaz Jr., head of Solid Tumor Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering, recognized for the finding that opened the door to treating cancer by the tumor's biology rather than the affected organ. The institutional piece with which the prize —awarded every World Cancer Day— is presented to the international scientific community.
QUÉ HICIMOSWHAT WE DID
Dirección y producción integral a cargo de Jason Sinchi: preproducción, rodaje y post. El reto era de contención: un médico investigador, no un talento de cámara, y contenido científicamente denso. La decisión estética fue restar —encuadres estables, luz limpia, un montaje que respeta la pausa del entrevistado— para que el protagonista fuera el pensamiento del investigador y no la técnica.End-to-end direction and production by Jason Sinchi: pre-production, shoot and post. The challenge was restraint: a physician-researcher, not on-camera talent, and scientifically dense content. The aesthetic decision was to subtract —stable frames, clean light, an edit that respects the interviewee's pauses— so the protagonist would be the researcher's thinking, not the technique.
